Film Description:
"A film on the Vietnam war by Beryl Fox, dedicated to French journalist Bernard Fall, who along with his photographer, was killed by a mine. Bernard Fall's wife, Dorothy, reads her husband's last letter to her. The journalists' filmed and taped impressions, right up to the instant of their deaths, are shown. The film continues with live footage and sound recordings of the war, showing combat action and fire bombs in South Vietnam; U.S. marines burning villages and taking in homeless and frightened Vietnamese women and children; sick and injured refugees taken away from battle zone on U.S. military helicopters; young Viet-Cong men in captivity; dead bodies floating along river shore; and other scenes of atrocity. Also includes comments and impressions of the war by South Vietnamese and American soldiers."
